I can't watch your video.... all that background movement is far too distracting. My eyes keep wanting to lock onto the moving environment but it keeps scrolling so I'm constantly fighting to lock onto something and it make me nauseous.
I don't quite get your user interface, your blue button thing... seems like a touch interface because each looks like a button. I can't figure out just by looking at it and not playing it what they mean or do.?
I definitely don't want direct ports of mobile games, designed for a mobile user having a mobile experience. Console games are different. They would perhaps be better as ports of PC/Mac games?
As much as it makes sense to target a single piece of hardware and push it to its consistent limit and not beyond, we all know that many people will over-tax the hardware and suffer a lower frame rate in return for increased graphics quality, just l…
I like what PS4 is doing with more ram but also FASTER ram. This would work well with the current Ouya design because it's using the main ram for graphics memory. Just making the ram faster would be a big speed boost. Of course Tegra4 or 5 will come…
I think 2-4 player games are going to popular on Ouya. No matter how good a game can be for a solo player, there are dynamics and enjoyment of a kind you can only get when you play with other people in the same room that no amount of graphics or wha…
The word trending tends to mean a recent short-term burst of activity, not so much like top grossing or whatever.. but even so from day to day the iPhone charts fluctuate a bit via trending and yet the big-name big-money games still stay near the to…
Do you mean to say 1 millisecond of 1-1/10th of a millisecond? Surely 1ms? So you can do 10 256x256 RGBA 32-bit texture uploads per frame at 60hz?
If what you say it true this actually seems quite fast

The draw calls are a problem, but fillrate is also a very large issue. I didn't expect the GPU to have such a hard time with that. Although, its also probably related to slow texture upload (wh…
I would agree that lots of murderous death, blood, people being killed etc SHOULD be limited in the same way as hate crimes, porn etc. It has been allowed to run wild and unchecked.
From what I heard Ouya team will already be looking to filter out stuff like porn, hate material, racism type stuff, etc.. I know some people want that stuff, freedom of speech, whatever bla bla bla... but Ouya also has an image to maintain.
There is definitely a market for Ouya - the lower cost automatically opens it up as an option to many many people who wouldn't to or be able to spend several hundred on a big console with expensive games. It might be a smaller market, perhaps. But i…
Of course they want to keep up the tension and anticipation for closer to the actual launch, or maybe E3. If they show the whole thing up front there would be much less anticipation.
I'm glad to see at least half of developers are not coming from an existing android world and therefore more likely to be making `non mobile` types of games, ie not ports of android stuff.
I think as I said that the large reason that mobile users only pay very small amounts is because, by the nature of how and when/where and for how long they play a game, ie maybe only a few minutes they are not in a mindset of commitment or getting d…
You don't necessarily have to do a lot of programming. For example if you use the Unity SDK then you could use a visual programming tool like Playmaker or UScript (see Unity asset store) which lets you build logic using a visual interface rather tha…
I still like Ouya the best, tho NVidia's does look nice and the steam box (not steam box) thing isn't bad looking. I prefer the brushed aluminum Ouya though compared to the new darker coloring.
I don't agree. Everyone goes fairly gaga over new platforms, new tech, and wanting to see what they can do with it. If it means opening up possibilities for extra big textures or more objects or whatever, that presents interesting new possibilities,…
Seems fine now. Still a bit odd though that after logging in, when I go to the forum page I have to say `log in with ouya` and a window pops up and does something or other and disappears and then apparently I'm properly logged in. It should be plain…
That's an interesting idea about having a limited number of free plays before purchase. I'd been thinking more in terms of partitioning off certain features/content for a fee.
