Interestingly enough, the CuBox-i series of devices was announced in September. It is smaller and supports MPEG-2 decoding. I'm considering purchasing this device over the Ouya simply because of the lack of MPEG-2 decoding. A shame, really, since…

Any updates on mpeg2 decoding? I'd like to get an OUYA to replace the Raspberry Pi, but playing mpeg2 HD smoothly is a must!
