No, my launcher would be tailored for the OUYA. It will access key features that you can see in the normal OUYA menus (Store, games, etc), and I would assume that in order to access these features you would need root.

I've noticed that I have more controller lag the farther away my controller is from the console.So currently I have to move my chair very close to the TV... I hope this get's fixed soon- Before my eyes become permanently damaged!
I am very glad for this update! Drifting is very annoying. Now the Ouya is one step closer to being the perfect console! So now, its only 3 steps away. Very close, in my opinion.
Yet ANOTHER bug in Shadowgun:Sometimes, randomly, out of nowhere-- *Dramatic Music*The player randomly spins. Happens in alot of the games I've played on the OUYA so far.Takes some massive button mashing to fix.
UPDATE: I fixed it. If anyone else gets this problem just use a paper towel to push the trigger up, (Main problem is you can't grab it) or use some tape, put it on the trigger, then pull on the tape. (Strong tape, much?)
