• Good call Tim. so it turned out to be a usb hub issue.  Not sure why, since it works with my other devices.  plugged in a new port made it work.   Not sure why it isn't working now even though it worked before...

• Device Manager doesn't show anything.  It shows my other Android devices when they're plugged in, but not the OUYA. USB Debugging is turned on in the OUYA settings.

• Solved the problem.  It turned out the old Unity GUIManager had a script called GUI.  I renamed that script and the problem went away.
