After uninstalling and reinstalling I can finally log in... Play still crashes and when I go to Discover I get "Error parsing response from server: No value for type"

Yeah, it happened to me because the RAM amount of the AVD was too high. My machine has 16 GB but if I put anything more than 700 MB RAM in the AVD it won't boot up.
