Is there any active work in this direction? The github branch discussed here looks dead. (And not functional.)
Or am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks.
(Alternatively, if it is dead, what can I do to help it be not-dead?)
For what it's worth, my home entertainment center has an HDMI-ready projector with no audio output. The Ouya was the first time this was a problem for me.
And here at my desk I plugged it into an HDMI-ready computer monitor, also with no audio outp…

Ouya 2 might not have a graphics upgrade whatsoever, it might be just more storage space, extra memory, an addition port or something etc.
This is a good point.
Just think. Since 2006 there have been seven model…

bbCode is a better alternative because it is simpler and much more predictable, and works the same on all browsers.
...I'm not sure that I agree with that. Simpler perhaps, but bbCode and all of it's close relatives are a pain to learn, and only us…

There's an "Edit Source" button. That's easy enough.

Except a game would have to be programmed to support XBox 360 controllers, which means chances are few games will support them.
Are you sure about that?
I could have sworn that the ODK automatically handles Xbox 360 and PS…

This is what you would expect from a laptop's touch pad. (Which seems to be the model the Ouya controller is going for.)
On a laptop, swipes are just for moving the cursor without clicking.

The ESRB is a not-for-profit organization, the fees they charge are what's needed to pay for reviewers. They have no need to "bring in the cash".
This isn't true at all.
Non-profit is not the same as "doesn't want money"…
Also, the ESRB's ratings for downloads won't stay free forever.
They've gotten rid of the fee to encourage adoption of their service, but when the gaming world goes to all-download, they're going to need to bring in the cash somehow.
If Ouya st…
I would really like to avoid it.
At best it would be another hoop to jump through for people with too much work already. (If it was mandatory, or socially-mandatory it would be yet another hassle to discourage people from bringing a cross-platfo…
I agree that I would prefer OUYA to automagically remap XBox (and PS3?) controllers so they match the Ouya Controller.
... But I also agree with Dreamwriter, that it'd be nice to be able to find out which controller they've got.
On a slightly side topic, Will the store eventually have a "More Games by This Developer" button? That's my favorite way to find cool games on Google Play and iTunes store.
(I never actually released my forever-work-in-progress XBLIG game, so this opinion comes from observation, not personal experience. Take it with a grain of salt. )
One of the problems with XBLIG that wasn't mentioned in that Gamasutra article was …
I'm also planning on using Moai.
I just noticed this thread. Which source branch should I be using? The LionK1tty one mentioned on this thread? Or the Krusmir one mentioned at the Moai-Forums thread?

I don't see how it couldn't be more work. Instead of using the code I already have now, I'd have to write code to interface with this proposed save-game system. Worse than that, I'd have to test it, which is the time consuming part if you're doing…

@Dreamwriter:I think part of the idea is to include tools in the ODK to help developers handle game saves, thus actually making it easier, not harder.

Ouya is not really designed to work with the Android Market.
You can, in fact, (sometimes) install a standard APK on the system....but a standard android app will not recognize the Ouya controller. The touch-pad works, but it works like the mouse…
Two ways to go with this.
You could just use the existing Konami code except end it with (O,A) instead of (B,A).
Or, we could all agree on a new code.
If there was an agreement on a code, I'd throw in at least an easter egg into my game. Why n…
