For Super Daddio 2 I used 640x360. It scales perfectly to 1080p, 720p or any other 16:9 ratio phone, tablet or tv. I also get better performance because of fillrate. If your not using pixel art than use 1280x720.
After seeing these stats I now don't feel as bad. Things will most likely pick up when more OUYAs are in the wild, well hopefully. Here's my stats:

I haven't used http://jmonkeyengine.com/ but it's open source and runs on Linux and I believe it can produce games for android so it should work on Ouya too.

I turn off my console by holding the on/off button down until the light turns off. Seems to do the trick every time. Not sure if this is the safest way to shut down the console though?
Usb mouse or keyboard should work. If it's not being recognized try turning off the console and try again. That's what I had to do don't know why but it fixed the problem.

Overscan. I have the same issue and the android settings do not save or adjust for it for some reason. My cheap off brand tv doesn't have settings to adjust overscan.
Some android or Ouya settings to adjust overscan would be nice.
