Pairing is currently only supported at startup or in the bluetooth settings menu. Team OUYA stated that they intend to allow controllers to pair at any time, but this functionality is not yet implemented. Since its not implemented yet there's not li…
Well, I had an appointment today and of course that was the time when the DHL guy came.
That's Murphy's law in effect right there. I missed the DHL delivery two days in a row. I finally got it the third time they tried to deliver. Very exciting.
I expect the retail kits will still have the usb port. One reason is that the dev kits are both for software and hardware hacking (i.e. making apps/games as well as figuring out how to connect things like a keyboard/mouse setup or other peripherals).
Ok so I did install it correctly before, I was just looking in the wrong place.
It's running great over here. I died pretty much immediately when I tried to fight a couple of police officers, but I'll try playing around some more. Thanks for sharin…
Hey I've been trying to get your apk to test out on my OUYA, but I can't figure out how to push it onto the console. I am not super familiar with adb but I've got it set up so I can use it from the command line now. Do you have instructions for how …
How do you make eclipse recognize OUYA as an android device? Right now when I try to debug the controller test app it asks me if I want to create a virtual device. It's definitely plugged in, but just not getting recognized.
Ok thanks for the response I will try it next chance I get. I couldn't get the iap-sample-app to work that way so I went to the readme.txt file. Those instructions only show how to use adb (which I also couldn't get to work). Maybe I'll try debuggin…
As much as I've been hating on Eclipse OUYA debugging on the device worked perfectly out-of-the-box. Check your physical connections.
So it was just something like plug in, debug from eclipse, and it showed up directly on the tv?
I think a tutorial on how to get the provided examples to run on OUYA would be sufficient for me. I've tried following the README.txt provided in the iap-sample-app but I've run into various errors that are not addressed in the readme file.
I do not think it could be used usefully in a game.
I agree that this trackpad is not about to be used for something substantial like drawing or jotting notes, but there may be some simple uses we can get out of it. There's a good discussion going …
When going into submenus, the selection cursor should automatically choose an item (usually the first) in the next list.
I'd like that as well. This was something that stood out to me as being odd when I opened the Devs -> Software menu, then had…
Something more effective than our own section would be a random scrolling featured game slot at the top of the store. Each user could see a random pick of the promoted games every time they return to the store screen. If you spread that out across t…
Yeah that one sentence was a big part in my decision to back as a dev. Buying a year of promotion from an external company would cost more than the Dev package itself. So I'm interested to see what kind of promotion it is that I bought with the pack…
I think Limbo is a great example of a game that offered a demo before you paid for the whole game. It let you play the actual game and then at a gripping point in the storyline (you were caught in a spider's web) it gave you two options: Leave the b…
When I unboxed my Ouya one of the D-pads was unattached and fell out of the box. It was easy to put it back into the controller, but it just made that first impression a little worse since the first thing I experienced was the hardware falling apart…
