    Hey Gaslight!

We should sync up and make sure OUYA-Everywhere is supported in the latest Adobe-Air examples.

I do recall that discoverability was an issue. It cropped up after a very thorough search earlier in the year, when I was first exploring whether I could even port AIR games to OUYA. Not sure what I could suggest other than getting Adobe to embrace it, and make your presence felt on those forums as well as here - as that's where developers are likely to search for ANEs. I'll certainly reference it at every opportunity. ;)

Adobe are aware of most of the situation - I spoke with some of their reps at this years GDC. I got the feeling they were dipping a toe into the OUYA to see what the community and value, for them, would come out of it. Oh, and they knew who we were and the ANEs we'd built, which was a little surreal as we're a teeny-tiny Indie and they're, well, Adobe :-)

But anyway, really appreciate the feedback and any possible references or shout-outs!

    Hey Gaslight!

Thanks for making the Adobe Air IAP wrapper. It's great. I just wanted to check if we could upgrade it to ODK 1.0.5.

And then are there any tips for compiling it?

I'd like to add an IAP example for Adobe Air in the ouya-sdk-examples.

    Thanks!

      Hi TimG,

By all means go right ahead and get it updated to ODK 1.0.5!
It's on my "to-do" list, but with the OUYA launch tomorrow (telling you something you already know, haha), we're busting our humps to get our game ready for the console ASAP.

We'll certainly need to get the IAP ANE upgraded before we launch, but there are so many other facets to the game that need to be finished that the IAP stuff has slipped a little.

      As far as compiling:
      - Make sure to extract all of the class files from the ODK
      - Try to only include those that you absolutely need... otherwise you'll get class collisions if anyone is using any other ANEs that access ODK features (this happened with the, now defunct due to Adobe support, Controller ANE - but I can see another ANE might be needed for ODK based data/game saving, or firing events like "OUYA_MENU_APPEARING"

Hmm... going back to my timeline... and now that you're the second person to ask for this, I'm going to get on this today and will have an ODK 1.0.5 version of the ANE uploaded to the GIT repo later on this afternoon!
And if it'll help, I'll write up some better documentation on how to compile... but this will definitely have to get pushed back!

      Hi TimG,

      OK, updated: https://github.com/gaslightgames/AIROUYAIAP
Now running using ODK 1.0.5 :-)

      Hi Tim,

How're you getting on with building an ANE?

I've finally put together a first build of a "Utils" ANE:
      https://github.com/gaslightgames/AIROUYAUtils

But will need to overhaul all of the ANEs and probably merge the IAP and this new Utils one, due to class inclusion collisions with files from the ODK. But that's entirely another story.

Would any tutorials, documentation or further development be of any use to OUYA inc?
I understand you might not be able to answer directly but have to pass up the chain... but if you could let me know either way, that would be great! I'd love to help out in a more "official" capacity, but, again, if that's not an option, please do let me know :-)

      Cheers!

Some questions in the thread, when you have a moment! Also, I'm working on a UI for your test app.
