"Lastly, as Kickstarter backers, we promised to help you promote your
games for a year. We now have a better sense of how OUYA will work --
so here’s our plan:
(1) for our first year (at least!), we will have a special section on OUYA for games made by our founders (that’s you!)...
(2) we will include your game in at least one email blast to all
OUYA gamers, at any point in the first year (stay tuned for details on
how that works)... and
(3) if you submit a game by March 28, we will include your name on
the OUYA box at retail. We believe gamers should know who made their
games, so we plan to promote you, the developers, who make them."

It makes sense that they'd want to push the system sellers first and foremost. I really don't blame them at all.
I heard back from Bob and Kellee and the current box was actually done prior to the March announcement. The second wave of retail OUYA units should have updated box art that will make good on this.
Well that's good to hear. I'm glad I waited and didn't post my initial response I had typed out. :) I guess I'll just have to wait a little while to pick up a retail version.
I ordered my "retail" box from Amazon, so I guess it might be too soon yet. When/What/Where exactly is that *second wave*? I thought "retail" was you know like retail as opposed to dev as opposed to pre-order as opposed to kickstarters...

Naw, this is what that's about:

Im interested to hear how that plays out. HOPEFULLY its not some joke where you have to be out of the sandbox to be on listed on the box.
Advertise the companies that are already well established...

I bought an OUYA today and was quite disappointed to not have our name on it.
