Final Deadline to hit Launch?

Hi there,

I'm hoping somebody from team OUYA can help me, my game is very nearly done, but can you tell me the absolute final deadline for submission to make it onto the store for launch?

According to the FAQ the review period is 3 days on average, which would mean to be on by Thursday I would have to submit before tomorrow to be in review Monday-Tueday-Wednesday? Is this the case or are you planning on throwing much more manpower on the days up to launch to get as much on the store as possible?

A deadline in terms of hours would be great (i.e 21:00 GMT on 25/03/13).

I'm desperate to get my game out on the store for launch and once I know the final deadline I can decide on whether sleep is acceptable.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

    My advice to everyone is to not rush too much and miss some key things in your submission that will make your game that much better in general.  I'm unsure if one or more of these would fail a submission, btw.   See list below.

    As to deadline, there really isn't one.  We're working very hard to turn around submissions quickly; hours, a day, etc. So submit with the knowledge we want to have your game in the store by launch as well, we've all worked hard, and we will do our best to turn around last minute submissions in time for you to publish by the 28th.

    1. Stop game music onPause
    2. Make sure the icon for your game (the one included in APK) is the right size
    3. If your game used to have a "Touch Screen" style try to update this to "Use Touchpad" or do controller mapping to buttons etc.
    4. Testing flags are now being ignored, but it's always best practice to make sure these are actually off in your game before you submitt.
    5. You publish your game on your timetable after we've approved it so the final step is yours.  Don't forget to publish!

    Don't forget that the 28th isn't a real date :) It's ship-day, sure, but the earliest possible day for Kickstarter people to start getting their consoles is the 29th, and most people from that first shipment probably won't start getting theirs until April 1 due to the weekend (unless the OUYA folks pay for Saturday delivery...doubtful). Also all 60,000 units aren't shipping all on that day, it'll take time to get them all out. So there's no need to feel rushed to be approved by the 28th, feel free to take some time to polish your game a bit.

    Appreciate the advice guys, but also remember that the various e-mails sent out by Team Ouya state that if you have your game on by March 28th your name is included on the retail box, which is what I'm aspiring to.

    For the retail box, the message says if you "submit your game by March 28", it doesn't say to be approved by then.
