Orb0 is a team of 3 (currently) friends/colleagues who wanted to make games. We backed Ouya in kickstarter, and are now pushing our first project to the Create Game Jam.
It's an Action RPG sort of, but heavier focus on the action. I think of it as more of a Dungeon Brawler than a Dungeon Crawler. We're still hammering out the mechanics some, but essentially it's based on timing, chaining and combos of melee abilities, with a simple "stun" mechanic on attacks, similar to traditional street brawlers such as Streets of Rage, River City Ransom, and so on...
It's a top down view, and it has basic character stats and character development...
Where the name NewGame+ comes from, is we're almost parodying the conventional NewGame+ feature of many ARPGs... In this one you play, you don't earn xp or anything. You find skill potions which give you skill points.
All stats are calculated from one positive and one negative ability... Maxing Dex will make you fast, but it will also weaken your attacks unless you balance it with Power, and so on... The game is about minmaxing... You can raise AND lower any ability at any time, if you have skillpoints to spend.
Your character is permanently persisted, so when you die, you simple start over and dive back into the dungeon, and continue advancing. But all you get to keep for your next pass is your characters earned skill points, and 4 basic stats.
The dungeons, monsters, and loot are procedurally generated. And the dungeon is infinite.
From a setting perspective it's very much inspired by Gauntlet. Dive in, dive deep, and play forever if you like. It's not about "beating" the game, it's about who can get the deepest (and for the final game we plan on having social media interaction for bragging rights, and plenty of achievements).
Also, it's got local multiplayer co-op. So a friend can dive in at any time and play a complimentary character to the Player1 Character. Brawling their way through the dungeon together!
It's just a prototype, it's in need of a fair bit of polish, and many of my end-goal features aren't complete yet.
But it does have the core mechanics in place I think, and it works as a prototype for sure. There are bugs, and minor issues, but overall it's a playable prototype that I think qualifies nicely for CREATE!
This is the kind of game I think I'd love to play, and I hope others will have a lot of fun with it too!
Anyway I'd love to hear your thoughts!
In the meantime I'm going to get my nose back to the grindstone and crank out the remaining bugfixes and features leading up to the deadline tonight at midnight!
Once I have a completed build I'll put up the youtube trailer including gameplay footage!

I think you could benefit from finding ways to add more light and color into your scenes, though. They're very dark and brown... yeah, it's a dungeon and all, but a few little spots of things like glowing crystals/mushrooms, light-colored mist clouds, magic runes carved into floors and walls, colored spotlights on monsters and/or pickups, etc. would help add some visual interest and maybe a sense of some landmarks.
