Great Spritesheet animator/editor

http://darkfunction.com/editor/

This wasn't free for the longest time, but the author has decided to open source it.  A pretty neat little program for those looking for a sprite sheet animator/packer.

Awesome!! Thanks for sharing, that does look great! :)

I use 2DToolkit for Unity, which isn't free, but it never ceases to amaze me. Because it operates within Unity it makes working with sprites a total breeze, I couldn't live without it anymore!

Been talking with Sam (who made the darkfunction editor) and it's pretty awesome, I can definitely see using it more and more! He's been extremely quick helping me through the few issues I had, very nice software!

And theres http://www.codeandweb.com/texturepacker, also if you have Adobe Flash CS6, there is a Sprite generator for sprites.

Spine is a great product too.. They have a few more days on their kickstarter campaign if you want to save on the license cost  ($30 now as a backer vs $55 after the campaign concludes)
