I really like the mechanics in it, but I found the smaller ball getting stuck in the gravity things when trying to project to the larger ball. Maybe make less of a wall so you can roll out of them? The sound also clipped in and out randomly, but other than that it was a fun play :)
is turning into a cartoon as well as a game! Check out our Facebook (and like!) :)
The mini web game is now live, play and compete for high score here: bimey.com!
Thanks! yeah we know about both of those bugs and are fixing them. It happens when you retract your matter prior to the core recombining with it on it's own. The bug was introduced so late in our project that we didn't have time to figure out why it happened.. But when it doesn't happen, it's quite awesome because you can float your core over to the place you want it and then your matter floats to your position. Hopefully will have a fix for that soon, it makes the game play way better and more fluid. That also get's rid of the snapping which pushes you though the boundary.
Also wanted to add, that we were noticing some physics differences between the editor play and the android platform. Has anyone else been experiencing this?
Awesome feedback, Thanks!

I tried it out - it looks very nice! I was left a little confused by the controls, however. What's the difference between using the small and large goo balls? And what exactly does the goo ball represent? I couldn't quite get the feel for whether it was acting like a tether, or a winch, or what. I made it through the first few levels, but it felt more like it was by accident than because I understood the game mechanics.
The idea behind it, is that your a ball of matter, and your shooting your matter. Each matter piece has a gravity force that pulls you towards it depending on how big it is. So if you shoot your entire matter "Right trigger" then you get sucked up to it. because it's area of influence is greater than your core influence..
The difference between the small matter shots is that you can use small matter shots to move objects later in the levels .. like open doors .. move platforms etc..etc.. which in turn helps you solve puzzles and get collectibles ( not yet implemented ) in hard to reach places. Small matter will also be used to kill enemies ( not yet implemented in prototype ).
Also note, that if you shoot your matter with small shot in the same ( or close ) spot to each other they will recombine into 1 larger matter and if you shoot all your small matter shots, it will create the large matter which will pull you towards it.
And.. wait there's more.. haha.. sometimes, you need to have a smaller core so the Gravity lifts don't influence you as much or you'll get pushed into a spike pit etc.. so you can shoot off some of your matter somewhere so that you don't die!
Controls: Left trigger - Small matter shot
Right trigger - Large matter shot
A - Retract matter
LB - Zoom in
RB - Zoom Out
DPAD - menus
Y - Menu popup
U - Toggle music
Hope that clears it up a bit.

Also, I'd like to note, I wish I had 1 more day to make a better tutorial level in level 1 so that you really get a feel for all the mechanics of your character before throwing you into the lion's den. But we just simply ran out of time. And the main bug in the game right now is that when you retract mid swing it shoots you to the ground and it's not supposed to do that.. your supposed to float down and your matter is supposed to drift to you in that shiny orb. But the bug surfaced like 1 1/2 days before due date.. ( I was so annoyed!, I was hulk smashing on myself for introducing that bug so close to the due day.. many hours of self reprimanding.. ha! )
