I have to say this looks very good, excellent execution on the idea. Can you elaborate a bit more about your concept and key mechanics? (being as our team also developed a dungeon themed co-op brawler, I think they are unique ideas, but I am curious to see where the concepts diverge,)
Good job, and best of luck in the contest!
(If anything your video production skills kick my ass!) lol
Our gameplay focuses on fast action with some puzzle elements like keys/locked doors, traps. Where our game diverges is mostly with presentation. We rely heavily on the enjoyment of the game to be from the chatter between the characters to each other, much like you would have casually playing sports with your buddies.
Thanks for the great feedback. I apologize for never getting the other videos up. We've been swamped with client work (had to make up for those lost days!). We'll be recording a gameplay video today or tomorrow if we can get a stable build up and running, or we'll just use an old build.
Anyway, we need your help spreading the word, since this contest relies heavily on social media. Please go to this page: (http://killscreendaily.com/create/video.php?submissionID=180) and click the Like and/or Twitter button above of the video. Also the Like button below will like our Facebook page. Thanks for your help!
As many of you know, we were finalists in the game jam! Hurray! We would have liked to have won the category, but are looking forward to playing the games that did win.
Me, another programmer, and a few artists of the team have finally been able to put most our client work behind us and get back in the game full-time! I apologize that we are just not very good at all the hype and social media stuff, so you won't hear a great deal of amazing posts from me. However, I am glad to reveal a few more details about the game here while we ramp up some real promotions.
Super Dungeon Bros is a game about a bromance of four frat guys at Dungeon University (name WIP) clearing dungeons for good grades. In the CREATE version, it was basically a twin-stick gauntlet style game, but has since evolved into a unique dungeon-crawling action/puzzle game.
We will be redesigning the main character, adding several new weapon styles, focusing in on a more deep melee combat system, redoing all the levels, adding an eventful end-boss battle for each dungeon, and more! Stay tuned. I'll try to get approval to post some concept art and more as quickly as I can.
