We would like to present our entry into the CREATE Game Jam contest.  When we started this project on January 15th we knew we wanted to make a that that tapped into the fun that each of us had as a kid playing NES - N64 arcade sports titles and are very proud of the progress we have made so far.

Capturing the fun, frantic, action packed gameplay of titles like Super Dodge Ball and Ice Hockey (NES), Wayne Gretzky 3D Hockey (N64), and NBA Jam (Arcade) was our primary focus.  

Here are some of our key features for the game jam submission:

4 Player Simultaneous Gameplay.
We wanted it to be a fun, competitive, sports game that is easy to pick up and play so we focused on Drop In/Drop Out controller functionality. (Wayne Gretzky 3D Hockey)

Multiple "Country Themed" Teams.
Choose from 10 teams with various themed “Character Heads” like many retro titles (Super Dodge Ball).

3 Different Body Types each with their own advantages (Ice Hockey)

Turbo Boost Gauges
Let you lay on the speed when you a boost, or to attack the other team at crucial moments (NBA Jam).

The OUYA makes the game look fantastic in Crisp 1080p at 60fps!

    I think on some level, World Cup (NES) was also an inspiration ;) Looks great! Let me know if you need more help testing on a OUYA.
