Blue U button (un)freezes app?

Hi,

Is anyone else seeing this?
If I press the blue U button on the gamepad, my app freezes.
Pressing U again will unfreeze the app.

Also: I noticed that autorepeat on DPAD is intermittent: 
sometimes holding DPAD will autorepeat the key, most of the times it will not.

    I think this may have to do with the fact that by default BLUE U is mapped to Android's MENU button?
    And my guess is that it opens and closes an invisible menu.
