Alternative Launchers and the Exit (Game/App) button

I was hoping to get some light shed on this topic, I use XBMC as my Default Launcher and up until the Chupacabra updates if you pressed the exit game option in a game, or even while in XBMC for that matter, it would take you back to your default launcher, in this case XBMC. It would seem that a recent change in the OUYALauncher has made that option force the OUYALauncher to be loaded and ignores the default launcher setting.

Was this done on purpose, please oh please say no, and can it be reverted back to its original usage.
