Running Ouya Launcher on Android Tablet

I have a Samsung Galxy tab 2 10.1 running Android 4.1.2. I am unable to get the current Ouya launcher working on it I didn't get an install error on the framework or the launcher. Every time I try to run the launcher I get "Unfortunately Ouya Launcher has stopped working", always straight after the "OUYA" launch screen. This has occured with most ODK versions after 1.0.2. I am able to run ODK 1.0.2 on the tablet but would like the newest version. Any ideas as to why this is happening? I have already tried sideloading the launcher and framework as well as installing through the use of adb.

    This happens with my Samsung Galaxy S4 also.

    It has been broken on non-OUYA devices since 1.0.2.  No ideas why.

    As it seems the OOBE (Out Of Box Experience) .apk is missing... time to de-odex the original ones from a running OUYA or a fresh OTA.
