Emulator & Controller Setup

Hi all,

I'm struggeling getting an 360 Controller to work with a virtual android device.

Setup according to Ouya-Docs works fine (hence there are some points I cannot find in the definition of the VM - like "d-pad support"), the Ouya Launcher is running, Sample ControllerTest Project compiles and deploys as expected, Picture of Controller is rendered.

But how do I get my PC-enabled xbox 360 Controller to interact with the running VM?

Thanks for any advice,

Andi

The emulator does not support any sort of USB peripheral, sorry dude.

    ok - it seems I misinterpreted https://devs.ouya.tv/developers/docs/setup
    ----------
The OUYA game controller combines a standard controller (two joysticks, a D-Pad, four game buttons, two shoulder buttons, and two triggers) with a touchpad. For testing, we recommend using the Xbox 360 wired USB controller combined with a mouse or touchpad for testing joystick and game button interaction.

So how should this work? Connecting to a Tablet with Standard-Size(?!?) USB and than test on a tablet device? I don't get it...

yep. if you look around the forums most people suggest the transformer prime + dock
Can't find aapt.exe? Temp fix: Copy another one from 'android_sdk/build-tools/17.0.0' back to your 'platform-tools'

You can also use an adapter for a Wired 360 controller to plug into a phone/tablet.
