And then shortly thereafter stopped again... It might have something to do with updates/new downloads trying to go at the same time...?
All I know is I have a switch sitting right in front of me, and I can definitely tell when Ouya is downloading and when it simply stops (I can see the blinky lights.) I have about 5 games in my queue and 2-3 updates queued up. None of which are doing anything, and no fast blinky lights. (slow pingy lights are still going)
If it is helpful at all, I believe dub wars had finished downloading the update and was in the "updating" state, but it didn't finish within an hour or so, so I killed it, then I saw fast blinky lights for a moment, then back to nothing. (maybe another update finished and got stuck?)
As a side note, I just found a UI bug that is super low priority, but might be an easy fix.
In the play menu I have 35 games installed, 2 set to update. Normally when a game is installed it shows the ouya buttons on the bottom and what action they will perform (launch, details, search, back), and when you hover over a game which is in the update state it says "updating" "details "search" "back". Well when I scroll all the way to the right of my collection, then scroll back to the updating games, the word
"UPDATING" looks like:
"UPDATI
NG"
but only seems to get crunched like that after I scroll to the right all the way.
OK. So I noticed "Save the Puppies" was in the "downloading" state, where the rest of them were in the "Queued" state, but save the puppies was not doing anything.. so I cancelled it, and finally the next download started. The next one got stuck as well in "downloading" state after download completed, so I cancelled that one too, and the next one started downloading. Gravi is fairly big, will let you know how that goes.
Gravi finished downloading, fast blinky lights turned to pingy blinky lights. Gravi also never changed from downloading state to installing state..
It seems to me that the bug might be in the code that switches between downloading to installing state. or perhaps a callback is never made when the download is complete to trigger that state change.
Yay! The last game was able to get to "installing" then "play now" state. but of course, by that point I had only 1 game queued up. Hence why many complain about multiple items queued not working.
I created a ticket for usb / wireless ADB switch in settings. No ETA. I can really use that feature!
Still hoping this feature will make it into one of the system updates but I haven't seen any mention of it in later update threads. I used the workaround a couple of times but it's too much of a hassle if I'm only working on it occasionally and the system updates keep resetting it.
