Howdy, I'm Dean Marconi. I'm one of the administrators at http://collectedit.com/ I'm an avid video game collector with a little over 1,300 games in my personal collection (physical games, not digital downloads or Steam titles. That would add at least 200 more games.) I'm also an aspiring game designer and figured this would be the perfect platform to try it out. So while right now I'm just one of the guys playing all the games the rest of you are making, hopefully you'll see something from me up in that store in the future! Also, I blog a lot about all sorts of stuff (mostly video games) so if anyone is so inclined, I'll just leave this link here: http://videogamesandrants.blogspot.com/
Hi I'm Thomas and I'm 16. I'm just trying out game developing as I'm thinking of maybe doing it properly when I'm a couple of years older but I wanted to see if I enjoy this so I thought why not do it in my spare time.
My name is Eddie Givens and I'm a UI Designer for a software company in Cleveland, Ohio. I was recently accepted into Animation Mentor where I will sharpen my skills in animating 3D models for my upcoming game, Averix, for the OUYA console. A few months ago I won a UNITY Pro license at a video game convention and my focus towards game development hasn't deterred since. I'm really excited about the project that I'm working on and eager to meet the OUYA Development Community.
Currently, I'm hard at work developing the game, and I am open to any recommendations or knowledge regarding UNITY Development, Maya 3D, and Android Game Development. Below is a "brief" idea of the world I'm creating.
“Imagine. A fantasy themed game with quircky characters like Chrono Trigger™. A top down game view similar to Zelda: A Link to the Past with level progression recognized within a Secret of Mana™ universe. Fast and frantic battle gameplay style like Ninja Gaiden (current gen) with a hint of parkour movement to maneuver through obstacles and the wave of enemies surrounding you. Dungeon layouts like Zelda: the Minish Cap™, and music background classics like Chrono Trigger™, Secret of Mana™, Zelda™ and the Final Fantasy™ (series) to keep your blood pumping as you explore, battle, and embark on your unexpected journey. This is… Averix.”
If anyone has any recommendations for any aspiring game artists, shoot them my way. Thanks!
Hi, I'm Mike Wiering from the Netherlands, I've been developing PC games for many years (DOS, Windows and Flash). My company name is Wiering Software and my most popular game is Charlie:
I'm excited about the OUYA, it's nice to be able to target one specific device, instead of thousands of possible configurations, and know that the performance will be the same everywhere.
The system I'm using is Haxe with NME (which supports many platforms) and I'm currently working on a new game engine, to be used for a complete new Charlie game. I'm also thinking of doing some direct ports of existing games, perhaps Super Angelo:
Also, I think Super Worms would be a great game for the OUYA:
Hi everyone. I'm Jordan from New Brunswick, Canada. My professional background is in information systems, but I'm a game developer at heart. Currently working on a tower defense game using Allegro5, which I hope to port to OUYA once it's ready!
Osu! I'm Peter Nguyen, a student currently attending Full Sail University. I'm really excited to develop for the OUYA. The biggest reason for my endeavor is that this is a fresh market, and it will be interesting to be part "the revolution". Whether my game becomes a hit or miss matters not. I'm just happy that I can eventually say I was one of the first [few hundreds]. I'm working on a rhythm game call "Beat Time", exclusive to the OUYA.

HI, I am Sam. I am the owner of a small time indie team called Fox Delta Games. We have been around for over 2 years. I went and bought a OUYA, and I love it. Cant wait to make some games for it.
Bonjour, Ron, Canada. GooGooSparck I'm Multimedia Developer. 3D Animation, Modeling, Web Programmer, mySQL/PHP, C#. I have been making small games pc games since 1999
My name is Paweł Skorupka. I'm working as a mobile game programmer and i've been working on android and iOS titles with Unreal Engine 3 and Unity for about a year. Since last summer and Kickstarter campany, i've been OUYA crazy and I decided that my first indie title will be OUYA exclusive.
The idea is to create a detective/puzzle/logic game, with 3d graphics and a little bit of platforming. Till now, I've worked on game mechanics designs, and world settings. The only thing left before i can start working on a demo is preparing a demo-only story that will get players interested.
My name is Philippe Girard I am a web developer and founder of a little start up : webstep. I register as a developer for OUYA because when I look at this ecosystem I see a big potential. Soon I would start developping for OUYA, I think it will be a great adventure. I always have many ideas of projects, I'm very exicted to start coding!
My name is Magnus Esko. I have been coding on my spare time for many years. Currently I am working on a retro style action adventure, inspired by the old NES Zelda games. The game have been in development, on an off, for over a year now. I am using App Game Kit, which now have Ouya support. The Game Creators finally got their hands on one.
Super excited! Just sold my useless WiiU tonight for $200 and ordered my Ouya from Amazon for $100. Can't wait till it arrives and I can start making my game idea on it. Maybe I'll even port my Xbox indie games. I already have one most of the way done for Android tablets in Unity so making it work with the Ouya should be a breeze. Thursday can't come soon enough.
My name is Joaquin, I'm a game designer and currently I'm working as a indie dev. I'm very exited about the Ouya, and looking forawrd to participate in this community, and try to help much I can :)
Also worked in a couple of studios and social game company.
So I'm looking for the posibilities of developing with air. My firsts tests looks very promising but looks like that the controller input part is not yet complete (from the adobe side)
I love retro games, and think stronglly that are not dead at all :)
Im somewhat new to the game development scene, I started learning in 2011. Im more of a animator and designer and only lately Ive been getting into programming. Im currently a Unity and MMF2 user, can't wait to bring something to this revolutionary console!
Hello all, I am Astroking112 (Commonly abbreviated to Astro), primary designer of levels and stories for Soaring Platypus Productions. I personally have some trouble grasping the actual creation of games (Stupid physics...), but we have other people to focus only on that, and we have many great ideas to bring to the OUYA!
First off, though, we're going to be completely silly (As we are extremely new to game development, and are saving our more serious ideas for once we're more skilled). In fact, in our first game, you'll be playing as a piece of cheese attempting to save his evil twin brother from the maniacal Dr. Spud, the most evil potato of them all.
My name is Paul and I am currently working on porting an existing Xbox live indie game 'Alien Siege' onto the Ouya. Got to get it released on Android marketplace as a touchscreen game and then port over to use controllers and add two player mode.
I have released 7 games to date on Xbox live indie and one over to PC. I might port over some of the more successful games it Ouya if I get the time, just need to convert from C# to java.
Please checkout my website for more information about the games www.lostworldcreations.co.uk
I need a couple of Beta testers for android mobile devices if anyone wants to help out :). Still putting some finishing touches in.

Hi all, I'm James I've set up a team called Pixel Pro's, been using Clickteam products to develop games for over 11 years now. Currently I'm working on an Ouya Exclusive called "Falling Asleep"
I am working on my own Open Source Text Adventure game I am not sure how this will stack up on an Ouya but ultimately I feel its a nice little project.
I think that sounds like a great experiment!
-LONG OVER DUE SORRY!- Why thank you! :D I have an android version coded (Up to the actual game / logic but the main menu is done.) I was hoping it would spawn an outcome just like the ouya in which players and coders get together to create a much better plot and mod expansions. This is far from lazybones on my part but more along the lines of saying "Here is a base model... Lets make it better!"
Moreover I feel if modded the right way it could work well on the ouya... Instead of it being a text adventure you use the controller for directions and certain buttons become interactions.
I also like this idea because it truly hearkens back to the WAY old days in which you had the best CPU and Graphics of all... the human mind.
My name is Clarence Simpson and I am the lone developer behind Jarcas Studios. As Jarcas Studios I've released a successful Android app for student grade tracking and a few small unfinished game projects that were entries to various game dev competitions. I am currently working on releasing an Ouya game which will be a polished and reworked version of my Ludum Dare 26 entry, Tiny Runner.
I have been a professional video game programmer for about 7 years now, but I've always wanted to work on some of my own game ideas rather than what is required for my day job. Now that Unity offers such generous free licenses, doing this work on my own is a real possibility for the first time ever and I am very excited about what I can do now. It's just a matter of finding the time to do it.
I think Ouya is just another great step forward in the realm of indie development. Being able to develop and release your own video game on a TV-based game console for only $99, which is the cost of the consumer-version console? That was absolutely unheard of only a few years ago, and, I think, undeniably awesome.
Hi everyone, only just signed up so I thought I would introduce myself!
Whilst I'm not an OUYA Developer the entire concept of the console really interests me, I love it that developers such as yourselves are being given the chance to bring your games easily (and cheaply!) to the big screen through this little console we've all come to love.
I'm basically here to offer my assistance to those developers who feel that they may struggle/want more help in marketing their games after they are complete as this is the field of work that I am studying to go into after university. I have a lot of experience in marketing and PR, working for companies which work on the marketing campaigns for companies such as Nintendo, Virgin and Peugeot whilst also having work published in magazines which you may have purchased yourselves from local super markets!
Feel free to drop me a message as I'm simply looking to gain more experience in marketing and honestly just want to see a lot more success stories emerging on OUYA! Hopefully I can help there!
Offering my assistance in marketing/PR for OUYA Developers to help games get the attention they deserve. Will happily work on social media accounts, contacting journalists/websites and arranging interviews to help any OUYA Developer who needs it. Contact me.
My name is Andre Forbes. I'm a music producer/composer and the CEO and founder of Music Man Dre Productions and Hot Music Factory. I have over 20 years of experience as a musician and composer. I've done a lot of work with national gospel albums and I have the skills to compose in just about any style of music, but I've been moving more in to commercial production work with television commercials, film scoring, multi-media and now gaming. I'm just looking for some developers that would like a composer on the team. Whether it be making looped background music to custom music, I'm just looking to participate in making great games. RPG, action, sports, etc...it really doesn't matter. Feel free to contact me. Samples of my work are below:
I don't have any real dev experience yet, but I do have a very high passion and love games. I have a couple of ideas I want to incorporate with Ouya, and I think it'll be really fun! I also want to see what it's like to work with other people, which will be interesting! Can't wait to meet you all!

I'm Len and I picked up my Ouya from a local Best Buy - last one on the shelf!
My girlfriend and I had a blast playing TowerFall for the first time earlier today. I'm looking forward to seeing new games that are especially fun in a local multiplayer setting.

just an 30yrs old gamer who wants to shout out his ideas on what is missing in usability and style in the ouya world.
A Download overview with more options on progress instead of just a red loading strip would be great...
where do you post suggestions on the OUYA GUI?
best regards

My nickname is baka-neko. I'm an amateur app developer since about 8 months, and a game developer since only one month ^^
My first game is called "Night Riders". It is a 3D arcade racing game inspired from 80's classics, like Outrun, Hang-On and such.
Please give it a try ^^ (just search for "night" in the "Discover" section).
