Downward Dungeon - (Verticle) Platformer

This new game that we, Armandra Studios, are currently developing is in the concept art/early development stage.  As of now, based on the GDD, we have our choosen hero and her walk cycles completed.  All that needs to get done are her running, jumping, getting hit, death, and victory dance animations :)  Those, and all the monsters and stages included  :P

The theme is of (light) fantasy with a bit of humor put into the scenes and dialog.  What we want to accomplish is a long running series of DD, along side Final Warrior (newgrounds).

Again, just working on the art right now with the intention of placing everyone on a 640x480 resolution.

Open to any comments and suggestions :)

    Ah, right.  Almost forgot :P

I will post up pictures of our progress (art wise), in hopes that some programmer *might* be willing to help out ;)    (will get paid, of course)

This is probably not that helpful now; but DariusSlayer should be a little more informative about what you need in a programmer and such when asking for help. Like what programming language/ development kit you'll be using (ODK, Unity?), some concept art / explanation of what the game should play like (Traditional RPG? Side-Scrolling Metroidvania?). Definitely with the concept art so that your product doesnt seem like vaporware.
As for me; Im just an Actionscript 3 amateur (a little C++, but not in game development); so I doubt I'll be much help.

Ah, you are right about that, Tobe.

What we're looking for is either a Unity or Android programmer, and will pay that programmer based on progress.

As for concept art and such, I will post whatever we create on here, as well as on http://ouyaforum.com

Hope this clears things up :)

To add more, DD is a vertical platformer with simple game mechanics, such as jumping, walking, and running.

I just wanted to thank you for tipping me off that there's a name for this genre! I've been looking for something for a while to use instead of "jumper" "bouncer" "faller" or something like that. "Vertical Platformer" is much better, and it looks like is actually being used. ;)

    You're welcome :)

Right now, we're still working on the art before we go into the programming.
