FTP file transfer to OUYA from PC

There is no easy way to load files into the OUYA.

Why doesn't it have an FTP server included like XBMC
to send APK files to the OUYA.

FTP server would be nice.. or is there any android app out there to do this?
I am using dropbox now but that's a waste of time.

Install f-droid.org (free and open source "market"), from there install "FTP Server" and start it. As easy as that.

I tried that f-droid.. it was not what was looking for.

like it would be so easy to just send to the OUYA via FTP from your pc to test what you are making.

instead of uploading it to dropbox and then redownloading it to the OUYA.

I have a modded xbox.. I just easily send test code to it via FTP.

Maybe the next update should include and FTP server.

You can do exactly that with ADB over USB, WIFI or Ethernet, I answered this question of yours in a similar post already, Google/search these forums.

Ya i tried that, it's some sort of SDK side loader you have to install, not sure how it works.

that's just the thing, users shouldn't have to go around hunting for info how to install side loaders.
the OUYA should simply appear as an FTP server or be able to access it via the network.

I think i should select a share folder in android and --Boom -- it shows up in my network places.
