Can't download builds, and the reviewers can't either?

When uploading my builds, I attempted to download them again and it just kept on downloading repeatedly. I assumed this was a download issue on my end and instead tested via adb. I got rejected because the app review team had the same problem with my build, though.

Anyone else having this problem? Is it indicative of a broken upload? I have little control over this so I'm durn sad about it.

@Piers what should I do on my end? My app got rejected because it couldn't be downloaded by the review team. Should I just keep reuploading until I can download it myself, or will that not make a difference?

Our review team has a special build with the fix (but not a build fully tested so can't deploy).  What's the game?  I'll make sure your next submission goes right.  Unsure what happened here, wasn't your fault for sure.

Sounds like Jon's taken care of that already: https://twitter.com/jonathanabrams/status/350396548598861824

My game's Super Robot Space Fight!, though. Thanks for your help :)!

I'm having the same sort of issue, has there been any update? I have uploaded my .apk to my games section and when i go to download it on to my Ouya it just keeps downloading over and over.

We have a couple items up for review right now that are not downloading correctly (and it's not the previous issue which we fixed internally and now with build 1.0.346 released yesterday).  We're investigating, but can't review games in this state yet.

I have a beta version that is not ready to be reviewed yet, which is having this issue. Should I start a new thread?

Yes, start new thread for that one, thanks.

I got this to download properly once while visiting friends in Texas with my OUYA... no luck now that I'm back in AZ testing a version I updated the build version on (made it match the OUYA dev section's version in hopes it'd make a difference). I guess I'll submit again and let the engineers go back to poking at it.

Previous builds had no reported issues like this from reviewers, although I personally ran into difficulties downloading them.

    An update on my issues:

After talking with tgraupmann in the Unity OUYA forums for a bit, I realized I hadn't signed previous builds. I assume this means I somehow shipped with the debug key for my previous versions since it did install, but it looks more like I just had no key when I look at my settings.

I created a keystore/key and uploaded a build, but still am unable to successfully install after downloading, leading to the same ol' download loop of doom, even if I remove the app and reboot the OUYA before downloading. Am I hosed because my previous version was unsigned/signed improperly? Is there anything else I should try, or should I just submit my latest non-downloading build and see what the OUYA engineers have to say?

Submit latest and let's take a look at it.  Maybe we could remove the current game from the system so you can re-create it with the properly signed apk?

Alright, I just submitted a signed version 1.0.3 of Super Robot Space Fight! that I just tested via adb. I could create a build with a different package name to see if the download of a signed build would work for a fresh product, too. I haven't already done that because there's no obvious way to delete a game in the UI and I see an embarrassing future Games page full of test games representing my signing failures.

Would "re-creating" the project orphan builds that people have already downloaded from receiving updates in the future? So long as you're sure the issue with the install when it's downloading is from the signing keys not matching, that could be worth it. It'd be nice if we could avoid it, though.

A quick update: the signed version did indeed get approved despite my own inability to update via the build menu. I took a bit of a leap of faith and published the thing. Overall I'm pleased. Updating does not work. It results in a screen with no app description and a play button that does nothing. At least it's obviously broken! Removing the old install and doing a fresh download of the app gets everything working swimmingly.

It's about as good as I could've hoped for, really. People still get bugged to update and will likely realize something's wrong pretty quickly when they do. I'm happy to finally have my (dreadfully needed) update out there. Thanks for all of your help!

@Tyrus if you accidentally double-click update it can lead to the blank screen issue.  A fix is in the works for this, but if anyone gets in this state please post about it and we'll fix that.  Glad you got approved and published, sorry about the slightly rocky road on this one :)
