Screenshot Saturday App

I'm working on an app that let's gamers browse screenshots from the indie game development community - tweets tagged with #screenshotsaturday. The image is shown fullscreen, making it the focus. You can toggle the display of the tweet text/info (U button) and open up the tweet in you browser (Y button). It seems like a good fit for a console aimed at indie game developers and their fans.

This is also my first attempt at creating an Android application. :-)

    Good idea.
    Sounds like fun!
Especially if it will be faster than screenshotsaturday.com
That website is always slow for me if I try to enlarge a thumbnail.

    Ok, tried it.

Good start so far, but issues, in order of importance:

    1) The app should really pre load the tweets and images in advance, so that when you press NEXT, it is already there.

    2) I crashed the app. Log at http://pastebin.com/6miW81WK

    3) When you open in browser with Y and then go back, you have lost your place in stream. There is no recording of current browse location.

    4) The HELP screen disappears too quickly, there is no time to read it.

    5) Could use a way to interact with tweets by starring, or commenting, but that would require twitter account management I guess. App is still useful without this feature though.

Is this on the store? If so, under what name? Looks cool though!

@SpoonThumb - Not on the store yet. Waiting for it to be approved. It's called Screenshot Saturday.

@stolk - Thanks so much for the feedback!

    1) Known issue and on my list. Working on this next.
    2) I will look into that crash. It's not an error I have seen before.
    3) Known issue and on my list.
    4) Known issue and on my list. I plan to map the System button to the help screen.
    5) Yea, that would require users logging in, which means basically making a Twitter client. If I can get 3 fixed then you can at least sign in with your browser to Twitter and do that. It really comes down to enough people liking the app to warrant the work (and would more people like it if it had that feature already?)

Was fighting with parsing Reddit's XML feed this morning, so I decided to take a break and add Tumblr as a feed source.
