Controller lag caused by USB devices?

During the setup of my Ouya I plugged in a Pulse 8 USB nyxboard like this one: http://www.pulse-eight.com/store/products/96-motorola-nyxboard-remote-designed-for-xbmc.aspx so I could use the keyboard to type in account information. I left it plugged into my Ouya and was experiencing a lot of lag similar to what I've heard described by some people. After a while, I unplugged my wireless keyboard/remote to use it on a different computer and the lag on my Ouya instantly went away. Has anyone else experienced this lag caused by having an external USB device plugged in?

    I just tested it with a normal wired USB keyboard and ShadowRun. I plugged in the keyboard and the delay on my controller got worse as time went on. Finally a new section of the game loaded and the lag was extremely bad (around 1 second). I unplugged the USB keyboard and the lag instantly went away.

    I have seen a post on ouyaforums that may indicate what the true problem is. THE METAL CASE. Rats! And it seemed like such a nice thing to do. (metal)

    I can also see this causing issues with the general WIFI too, depending on the environment.

    Workaround: Lay the Ouya on its side with the top facing you so that the bluetooth radio waves make it like they need to.
