How to get out of sandbox?

Hi,

Could anybody please clarify on what metrics determine whether you get out of the sandbox?

    OUYA hasn't given specifics (probably to keep people from gaming the system) but what they've said is it's a combination of thumbs-up and various metrics like how often people play your game first on power up, how often people play your game period, how long your game is running, etc. From what I can tell that not only gives you sandbox ranking, earning your way out of the sandbox entry by entry, but after it's out of the sandbox it sets the game order within each category.

    Curious about this, too.  Really want FishMoto out of sandbox before Ouya retail launch.

    FishMoto has 24 upvotes -- higher than many non-sandbox games.  Still in Sandbox :(

    @Piers I noticed that thumbs-up count was stuck for GET TO THA CHOPPA!!1 over the weekend, and today it suddenly jumped from 1 to 20.

    Fix in progress, should be done today.  I also moved everyone out of the Sandbox that shouldn't have been in there anymore.  Huzzah!

    The Lost Heroes has 13 upvotes, 100 downloads a day. Is it enough or too little to get out of Sandbox? :)

    Neither, because there are other metrics involved.  If lots of people play the game a lot, it will make it out of the sandbox.  It does look like your game is climbing its way out of the sandbox, it's in the top 5.

    Hmmmmm 160+ downloads per day several days in and 12 upvotes but still in sandbox - whoa those metrics are harsh :P
