This personally doesn't effect me to much, but iv'e been reading the reviews from some sites and I think requiring a credit card to just even develop or test the thing out on the TV is just silly and going to give the Ouya bad credit and I think already has.
If the first thing I see when trying to boot up a gaming console is it asking me for money instead of showing me games is a real BIG emotional turn off.

I hope that they would skip that step so people could immediately start using the console and browse/test the games. After all, they offer the system as open and all games are free to try. If that is true then WHY insist that a person enters a credit card or OUYA card first??
A better method would be to allow someone to use the system immediately and only make you enter a CC or an OUYA when you need or want to make a game or content purchase.
I strongly dislike leaving CC setup for services like this and as a workaround someone can use those one time virtual CC that many cards offer so you don't get any random surprise charges later on.
