Why I won't be developing for the OUYA anytime soon.

When I received the email from the kickstarter saying units will be arriving in 2 weeks, it was about a month (4-5 weeks really) before I was going to move. I figured, gee, what great timing! I'll get my unit and be able to develop for it before I even move!

Then it starts getting close to my move date and no tracking #, no notifications of any sort and I leave OUYA a message figuring: Oh, they will get back to me within 3 days, we'll change my address and when it does ship I'll have it arrive at my new address.

Sure enough no response. I move to my new address (in a different country, now the USA) and I instead receive my tracking information stating it is shipping to my old address (in a different country).  I am of course frustrated that no one tried even responding for the weeks leading up to the shipping tracking information.

I leave more messages hoping to get some information on how to instruct DHL to redirect the package. I still have not gotten anything useful out of OUYA Support. I have only been given the link to the Track Your Package page and had the ticket closed on me.

I now actively tell all of my friends (developers and gamers alike) not to buy this unit as their customer support is truly horrid. I initially as filled with optimism as I pledged on the kickstarter that this would indeed start something cool. Now, I just want my money back. OUYA is more than a disappointment.

They said a couple days ago that they have tripled their support staff. It seems like they were getting flooded and are working to get back on top of the situation. I wouldn't take it as a personal insult. Sometimes creating a new business and a new market has unforeseen challenges.

I've had a similar problem - I've been working for almost 6 weeks to resolve the issue with no real help - they need to get their act together, and fast!!!
