Are dev level Kickstarter backers receiving non-dev Ouyas?

I had been under the impression when pledging my $650 on Kickstarter that we'd get a production quality Ouya at some point, not just the dev kit version with the less than stellar controllers.  Was I mistaken?

    I think you just get the devkit / what you've already got. That's my understanding anyway. I've found my controllers to work fine (except for the stupid diagonals on the d-pad), and I have a PS3 controller for games that need a decent d-pad anyway.

    Then again, I'm not really a connoisseur of game controllers since this is the first console I've ever owned

    I don't think we're getting retail systems. I've been using this as an excuse to travel to the nearby stores and ask if they have controllers in stock and talk up the Ouya in general.

    The Kickstarter reward never mentioned receiving a second device.  Your assumption/impression was incorrect.

    Correct, no retail unit.  Even the $1337 and higher don't get a retail unit also.
