Something I was wondering when I created my developer profile this morning. Is this separate from my console username that I reserved after the Kickstarter campaign?
Would appreciate if someone could clear this up, I have no idea whether or not my OUYA username actually works or not ^^'
I reserved this gamer username last week, and "created" my dev profile just now. When I entered my email address to sign up for the dev forums (the same one I used to reserve my gamer username) a message told me it had identified me as "Catatafish" from my gamer name reservation, and would I like to use this? When I said yes, it then displayed the message "Your gamer account has now been upgraded to a dev account"
If you had a similar message I am sure that your dev and gamer account are now the same. If you signed up with a separate email from the one you used to reserve your username, then it's likely you have 2 different accounts.

Ah. Ok. I used a company email for this account so I have my gamer account separate. Thanks for clearing that up. :)
Sorry to awaken this old thread but a similar question...
I backed as a gamer but am really just a cheap indie developer. When I tried to register, the forum software doesn't know my user (probably because it's a gamer id) nor my e-mail. I tried registering again in this dev forum but it didn't auto-offer my user id (like the person mentions above) but it then says my username is unavailable -- obviously since I have it as a gamer.
I've kludged by using OpenID with my gmail (the address registered for my gamer id) and entered my username which then worked!? However I worry that it won't be recorded as a backer?!
Whew, confusing. Any admins here that can sort me out, please?
