Ouya emulator

Is there an OUYA emulator that I can use to begin development on it or do I have to wait till I actually get the machine?

Android has an emulator but it doesn't support controllers, so at this point it's best to wait. If you really need to get started you could start developing for another Android device.

I sideloaded the Ouya framework APKs onto an Android emulator but for some reason wireless internet is absolutely required (which is evidently impossible when using an Android Emulator). So don't bother with the Ouya Framework APKs.

I use libGDX and run a desktop version of my game so I can test. Then I run on a Nexus 7 to test the performance since its hardware is equal to the specs of OUYA. Works like a charm!

I'd personally would like OUYA emulator as I don't have access to device itself. Would love to be able to afford it, but I can't.

You see, I'm from very poor family and while I love to code, I didn't yet have chance to "break out" and soon probably I won't even have chance to have chance to "break out" as I'm facing foreclosure. After paying debt collector, paying bills and buying food I have literally NONE disposable income.
I'm currently living off rent, which is $181.38 or 580 PLN. I would happily join some software company, but... The thing is that every I send my resume to in phone call tells me "do you have any commercial experience", where commercial experience = had worked before in industry and this would be my first job, so...
Or they are asking about diplomas and stuff - I got skills, I can prove them when you give me some task requiring usage of those skills but I don't have any diplomas so I'm cut off from any chance to get into industry.

So yeah, I'd like some OUYA emulator so I can develop game and sell it so I can finally pay off my debt (which is $5060 USD or 16180 PLN and normally it would take years to pay it back assuming I won't get any other debt in meantime).
Don't get me wrong - I love making games and I certainly WON'T make price unreasonable high, but I can't think of any other mean to get cash and "get a job" isn't valid here for reasons stated in earlier paragraph).

We originally developed on the Nexus 7 which ported easily over to Ouya.  If you can get an Android emulator up and running and work on it there, you should have a good chance porting it to Ouya (once you get one) will be easy.

You can use the Android emulator using the Intel x86 image and GPU support (needed for OpenGL ES 2.0).  This does require that your PC has the necessary support for the Intel HAXM virtual machine.

    Core2Quad Q9450 would be enough?

I had a Core 2 Duo previously and it couldn't support the Intel x86 Emulator Accelerator (HAXM).

What kind of tablet should I buy if I want to develop to tablet + OUYA? Nexus 7 was mentioned already, are there other Tegra 3 tablets I should consider? Or does it need to be with Tegra3 if I'm aiming to learn to develop to OUYA?

The asus transformer tablets might be something to look at. They run tegra 3

2D MMORPG game/engine coming to OUYA!
