Download Count Question

Say I have 300 downloads of my game @ v1.04 over the course of 3 days and then I upgraded my app to @ v1.05. Over the next 4 days I get 400 downloads. 

Does that mean 300 people updated and 100 are new downloads or are all of them new? If so how do I know if they updated the app?

    All of them are new.  There is no such thing as "updating" an app.  They haven't implemented any updating features yet.
