One interesting tidbit to be gleaned from the data is that, among the people that report having received their devices, there's a pretty high proportion of Limited Editions and orders with extra controllers. It appears that they're actually being sent out first afterall, like we were all saying should happen, and not pushed back to the back of the line.
You're right, you can't really extrapolate any overall trends from that list. That doesn't make it useless, though. Even single data points can yield information. Backer #57614, for instance. That's a super high backer number who ordered a Limited Edition OUYA with 3 controllers, and he claims he already received it.
That's important for a lot of people, because it lets you know that every order has a chance to ship, even if it's a high # or special order.
Now, the data could be inaccurate, but that's a whole 'nother issue. ;)
Probably some sort of bias in there, but the reality is, it's far more informative than nothing at all... and it's what Ouya prefers the community to do over being part of the community, so meh.
Well I'm still leaning that isouyashipping not the best way to figure anything out. The idea of user reporting is unreliable. However, in another thread Sales/Downloads. that is an entirely different manner. So far downloads and sales are actually dropping and not increasing. This sounds like the results of consumers browser pleatuing. In which there hasn't been a significant or regular increase Ouya's that are being turned on.
So now that we are into the third week with download/sales hitting a low point during a period of shipping. That is suspicious and reason to be inquiring.
Interesting that if you look at isouyashipping.com, 4 out of the 5 that have shipping notices but not delivered are in (3) CA and (1) AZ.... though the AZ is a LE - so, not sure about that info.. the rest are all STD with no extra controllers.
jayderyu: We've had quite different experience with downloads compared to the Sales/Downloads thread.
Here's how the downloads look for our game Ice Rage in the last 15 days:
March 28: 7 downloads
March 29: 30 downloads
March 30: 7 downloads
March 31: 3 downloads
April 1: 13 downloads
April 2: 7 downloads
April 3: 13 downloads
April 4: 38 downloads
April 5: 75 downloads
April 6: 84 downloads
April 7: 80 downloads
April 8: 82 downloads
April 9: 46 downloads
April 10: 58 downloads
April 11: 57 downloads (still counting)
There's been a big increase since 2nd of April and the total is now at 600 downloads.
Is that also tracking the downloads that are occurring because of various web-based interfaces to the Ouya store, or does that only count downloads from actual Ouya consoles?
AchillesPDX: Those are the official numbers provided to us in the csv file. Maybe someone from the Ouya crew can elaborate on what's counted as a download. ie. are failed downloads counted, are updates counted etc.
I asked and we're not counting anything from a website. I did not ask about failed downloads, but am confident those would not be counted. If you really want to know remind me here and I'll find out.

Fulfillment via mass mailers is typically done by region. So it makes sense that the ones seeing shipments are in the general vicinity of one another. Delivering strictly by backing order wouldn't be efficient.
Got my email today saying my OUYA is shipping (backer #12831), but there was no tracking number in the mail or even a hint at which mailing service they're using (besides Gmail telling me the message was sent via shipwire.com, which I'm not sure is relevant). So I can't track my console's shipment. Has anyone else had this problem, or know how I can rectify the situation?
Kickstarter backers will receive their OUYA in March. Orders placed on OUYA.tv prior to February 4th will receive their units starting in April. Current orders placed on OUYA.tv or from one of our retail partners will be delivered beginning in June.

It's OK guys, it isn't like they SAID you were going to get it in March, except when they did on their official FAQ page.

Well, I got a second email that was identical save that the tracking no. was included this time, as well as an automated link to the DHL tracking page.
Not sure what the issue is, but I'm glad I personally had a fix.
Wasn't it said somewhere that they'd be shipping by order type and backer #? I ordered the standard console with one controller and my backer # is 2965. Still no email even though I'm seeing people in the 12000's, 40000's, etc. receiving consoles.
