In an early version of the interface guidlines, I snabbed the OUYA button images. Unfortunately the image wasn't in a great format to use for in-game stuff.
Is there any chance we could get this image with transparency and packed for use as a texture atlas? Or separate images so we can do the packing ourselves.
I see in the ODK samples controller project they have a nice image of a controller with highlighted overlays to display buttons being pressed. Not quite what I'm looking for but thought I'd mention it.
I'm sure a lot of folks want these images, so anything you whip up would be welcome.
If you guys are looking for placeholders that will more closely fit the style of the ones we're going to post, refer to https://developer.ouya.tv/assets/OUYA_BUTTONS.png the changes will probably be very minor aside from the labeling.
Once we upload the updated version, this link may point to the newer version for any future confusion :)
OK, I took the icons Nick supplied and split them up into separate images/added transparency. Transparency was a little hard due to the white background... I wasn't sure which parts were supposed to be opaque and which parts were supposed to be transparent. Anyway, here they are. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0Bz8yJFw4-_07WUFscjNfX1JQRFk
You didn't remember the plot of the Doctor Who movie because there was none; Just a bunch of plot holes strung together.
I've just finished making my own icons for all the buttons, sticks and the touchpad. I've provided the original SVGs as well as different sizes of PNGs, so you can tweak them how you like :).

I posted this on Deviant Art, but I'll post it here as well.
"Thanks for the work! I'm sure many of us developers will benefit from community efforts such as this. How would I go about getting the SVG files? Deviant art is fairly unfamiliar to me. I might be doing something wrong. The download link opens a png file.

Thanks again!"
Whoops, turns out I didn't have the ZIP file (which contains the SVGs) properly put into the deviation. It's done now. Just click the download button on the right of the page. :)
Haha... thanks Arruku. I downloaded earlier and was confused about where the SVGs were and why the PNG was so low res... downloaded. And a HUGE thanks for doing this. I love me some vector graphics. :)

np :D. Another thing, if you want the same font as what I've got when editing in Inkscape, you need to download and install CartoGothic Std. The font family is free from fontsite.com.

So this morning I spent some time crafting versions of the OUYA buttons for use in my game Aggro Tactics, which has a toon shading to it and uses comic style graphics (or at least my best attempts at it... lol). I'm no graphics guy, but I wanted to share what I've put together to get your guys' opinions. The only one that I'm kind of stuck on is the pressed version of L3/R3... not sure how to make that look good. Almost all of the buttons have an Unpressed and Pressed version for simple animation usage. Unpressed is on the left and pressed is on the right.
I've been working on them in Inkscape, so they are vector based and can be any size. I'm no graphics guy and just started teaching myself about a month back for Aggro. Once I release Aggro Tactics I'll be putting the assets that I've created out there for everyone to use if they so choose.
HUGE special thanks to @Arruku for his collection that I used as a base.
EDIT: I just realized I forgot to fix the outline/shading on the arrows after I rotated them for the stick movements... lol. Back to work.

And there is also a $15 pro version of the font.
Yeah, but that's if you use the fonts themselves in the application. If you use the font just to export images for the game, like these icons, it's fine.

These live up to your name GodlyPerfection. I want to make a 2D game now lol
:P Screw that... those images were made with a precise workflow that I've perfected over the past couple weeks. lol... comic style graphics are very mathematical in nature. I didn't realize how much fun graphics can be when you know the step by step workflow...
Yeah you don't want me making a 2D game. At least not for several years when I get the hang of this whole graphics thing. Definitely appreciate the compliments. Makes me feel all warm and squishy inside. :)

I won't be putting them out until after I release Aggro Tactics or decide not to release Aggro Tactics. I can't guarantee that those won't change over the course of development and I want to be the first to use them. Since it isn't often I make graphics that I'm actually happy with. :P lol... but after Aggro's release then I will definitely be putting them out there for anyone to use. Does that sound fair?

In fact, give me a bit of time; I think I'll throw some together in GIMP and share them :)
I'm sure a lot of folks want these images, so anything you whip up would be welcome.
Anyway, this is what I managed to come up with.
