--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is where you get your Developer ID ( Dev ID )

This image has been resized to fit in the page. This how you download your key.der, make sure you right click as save as... key.der

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, click on new condition. Right Click on the OUYA object and pick On API Initialized

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

( this step is not necessary but it's a good idea to display if the API has started )
You can type anything you'd like here. (Remember you need to add a text string for this step)

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

Now, Right click under the OUYA object and select Set Product
and type the product name

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

Now that the product is selected, it's time to buy it.
If the user presses Y the product will be bought.

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

Insert a condition so the product can only be bought if counter = 0

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

Again, make sure you have a counter added. The expression should look like this

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

If the user already has the product the counter will be set to 1 ( so
they can't buy it again or you remove the purchase option )
New condition. Select API. Does player have product?

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

and if the player has the product, you set the counter to 1 as shown in this pic

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

And don't forget to add your key to Data Elements:

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

Okay you are done. That is all you need to make an in-app purchase in Fusion.
Okay. Let's test it on the OUYA.
Export your .APK and load it to your OUYA. Via USB STICK, FTP...Dropbox or whatever means.

if the API starts correctly you will see the string you entered. In this case it is: WHOOT WHOO API STARTED -

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

Press Y to buy the product, when you press Y it should look like this.

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

Buy your product( Don't worry OUYA doesn't charge you for buying your own products, you can delete the purchase at anytime)

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

Now the counter is set to 1, so you cannot buy the product again. or you can use the number to remove the purchase option.
(consumables can be bought as many times as you want and you won't need a counter)

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

Check that the transaction - and Boooom - you are done!

This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge.

Enjoy.

Here is the finished product.
( remember to change the product ID and import your key )

I was informed months ago that the marketplace agreement would be changed:

Quotation from email send by Raf from partners@ouya.tv: "So OUYA is actually the selling agent. We
provide detailed reports from the developer portal and pay developers
net of taxes, meaning we deduct and pay VAT and state sales tax on your
behalf.

We are actually working on clarifying the terms of the publisher agreement, but again - to confirm - OUYA is the party facilitating the transactions."

Nothing changed. The problem with current marketplace agreement is that according to it OUYA Inc. is not party of the transactions beetween developer and users which greately complicates accounting especially since the reports are lacking a lot of needed information (for example the exact fee taken by OUYA, exchange rate and the exact sum of money the buyer paid with time and date).

Will it be changed? Or should we assume the current version is correct (in which case there is not enough data in the reports to do taxes properly)?

PS. Here is the part of the current agreement: "Any sale of Games or Content will be directly between you and the applicable end user, and OUYA will not be a party to such transaction."

	Hi Devs and OUYA-Team,
I'm Lukas Reitze from ouya-news.net, a german news-blog about the OUYA. I'm a big Linux and Open Source fan which leads directly to my question: How about running Ubuntu on OUYA? Sounds nice, eh? :)

I asked the support the following:
>>[...] Is (or will) there any partnership with Canonical? I think many
guys would love to see Ubuntu running on the OUYA! Also I think it
would push the OUYA to the top, because together with a lightly
modified version of Ubuntu for Android (
http://www.ubuntu.com/devices/android ) you could run Ubuntu without rooting your device and maybe just start it right from the OUYA Launcher and do some office stuff. The OUYA would transform the TV to a 'real' smart-TV:
OUYA -> games
XBMC -> media
Ubuntu -> office [...]

Lukas<<

And who was on the other side? The CEO it self! :O
>>[...] Regarding, Canonical, I don't believe so...not yet. But I love the idea. Will talk to the team about it. It would be great if you could mention it in our forums as well (devs.ouya.tv) -- all my tech guys are on it.

Julie<<

Well, and here I am! ;)

What do you guys think about my idea? Wouldn't it be great to launch Ubuntu right out of the Launcher? Would it be possible?

After creating this post, I also send out an Email to the guys of Canonical to call attention to this topic. Hopefully someone of them will stop by.

(hopefully this on is at the right section ^-^')

Hello I just purchased my ouya. I downloaded the Super Nintendo, game boy advance, and game boy color emulator apps.

I downloaded rom's for each and played a gbc game and then a Gba game for some time. I save and exit my Gba game and then proceed to go back into the Gba emulator and it goes to launch them and sits there and force closes everytime. The gbc emulator does the same thing. The Super Nintendo emulator opens and when I choose my USB drive, it freezes and force closes.

Now I try force stopping the gbc and Gba emulators in advanced settings and that doesn't work either. My last idea is to uninstall them. I uninstall them in the market and proceed to reinstall them and now they are just sitting there not downloading.

I go to advanced settings to try to delete them and when I click delete they are still there in the downloaded section.

Sorry for the long post but this is really frustrating and as you can see I have tried everything. Now I just have two apps just sitting there not downloading. I can't even download anything now! It's useless with these two apps just sitting there not downloading

Any suggestions?? Thanks!!

Since I've bought every Humble Bundle (excluding some weeklys), I figured I'd go through all the available Android games from them and check their compatibility with the OUYA.

A quick note about the Humble Bundle app, for whatever reason, I've found that every time you exit and reenter it, you must log out and log back in to access your Humble Library.

So here is the list of all the games I tried (installed using the Humble Bundle App) and the results... Games listed as being playable with the touchpad would obviously work better using a mouse, but based on my opinion, I felt they were at least functional with the touchpad.

Runs and works with Controller(s)
Another World (Tapping Middle Button brings menu up, but then quickly goes to title)
Canabalt (Humble v1.1, OUYA v2.02)
Dynamite Jack (Need to manually set button controls)
EDGE - Classic
EDGE - Extended
Metal Slug 3 (Not playable with Xbox 360 Controller) (Unable to Use Credits/Continue After Death)
Raiden Legacy (Not playable with Xbox 360 Controller)
Solar 2
Super Hexagon

Runs and Playable with Touchpad
Aquaria [ADDED 06/18/2013]
Anomaly Korea
Anomaly Warzone: Mobile Campaign
Broken Sword: Director's Cut [ADDED 06/18/2013]
Cogs
Contre Jour
Fieldrunners
Frozen Synapse (beta) (Unable to zoom) [ADDED 06/18/2013]
Machinarium (Mobile (>1024x600)) (must make fast touch movements for such a large play area)
McPixel [ADDED 06/26/2013]
Osmos (Mobile)
Plants vs. Zombies
Sleepwalker's Journey [ADDED 06/18/2013]
Spirits
Splice
Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
Swords & Soldiers HD
Waking Mars
World Of Goo
Zen Bound 2
Avadon: The Black Fortress (Tablet)*
Machinarium (Tablet (>1280x800))*
Osmos (Tablet (>8"))*
SpaceChem (Tablet (>5"))*
Uplink (Tablet (> 7"))*

Runs, but very difficult or impossible to play with Touchpad
BIT.TRIP BEAT (Possibly Playable with Mouse)
Beat Hazard Ultra (Possibly Playable with Mouse)
Crayon Physics Deluxe (Possibly Playable with Mouse)
Dungeon Defenders + All DLC
Eufloria HD (Possibly Playable with Mouse)
Fractal [ADDED 06/18/2013]
Funky Smugglers (Possibly Playable with Mouse)
NightSky (Possibly Playable with Mouse)
Organ Trail (Humble v1.6.6.3, OUYA v1.6) [ADDED 06/18/2013]
Pulse [ADDED 06/18/2013]
Serious Sam Kamikaze Attack
Smuggle Truck
Snuggle Truck
Stealth Bastard Deluxe (Works with OUYA controller, for Left/Right/Down...but no jump; does not work with 360) [ADDED 06/18/2013]
The Room

Unable to Start
Bladeslinger (Loops while loading)
Toki Tori (Kicks back to home screen)

*Listed by Humble Bundle App as Unsupported

Sorry if this list is a bit strange to some, I just felt it was the best way to display the information for any person regardless of technical expertise...and if I missed any Humble Bundle games, let me know or post your own results and I'll add them to the list.

And for reference, here is the information from the Humble Bundle App. Additionally, these were all tested on the OUYA 1.0.5 firmware.

Device Model OUYA Console
Humble App Version 1.3.3
OS Version 4.1.2
Screen Layout large
Screen Width 1920
Screen Height 1080

I've also gone ahead and posted this list at the following locations...
CAG
XDA

Currently by default all activities close when they lose focus, this is as far as I can tell, in order to give the best performance for the currently active game.

While I think the principle is sound, the implementation (just setting the dev option to close on exit on by default) doesn't give the best user or dev experience. Often it is desirable for games to open up other apps such as a browser in order to receive direct feedback from users or display terms or service etc.
Currently on ouya the game restarts once this activity is then closed rather than resuming from where they left off.

It seems to me a better way to implement this would be to have activities closed at the point a different game is launched. Apps such as the browser which don't decalare themselves as games could be allowed to run over the top, but any game activity will force close other games in order to keep performace high. This would also allow users to minimise their game in order to watch a video, or browse the store etc, check leader boards / friends lists once implemented and pick it up again once they are done.

Currently you cannot set up IAP's on the backend until you have submitted payment and tax details. This seems a bit backwards, it's much more dev friendly to be able to test your code with fake IAPs before ever concidering entering of real payment details. I understand that these details are needed at somepoint but it would make much more sense to be able to set up the IAPs early and buy them with a dev flag set etc without this set up but not be able to submit the app to the store if it uses IAPs until the correct details are uploaded.

Hello,

I just added a new game. It went all fine and dandy until I realised I got the apk name wrong. Unfortunately, I'm using AIR so can't change it to the correct name due to its limitations.

If there is not a way to change the APK name, is it possible to at least delete the game profile I have so I can start a fresh one with the same name? Otherwise I'm stuck forever!

Thanks.

Just a thought, is it possible to use something like this in an iap to allow people to unlock portions of your game with a simple tweet about it?

I'm using the trackpad on the OUYA controller for my game. When ever you touch it a mouse pointer comes up and I can't find a way to hide it. I've read that this is caused by a JNI issue in Unity but I'm just using Java and I can't find an api that would allow me to affect this behavior. Am I missing it somewhere or is it coming soon?
