I'm hoping to put together an article about some of the awesome OUYA developers out there along with information about the up-and-coming projects on which they're working.
Hello,

I am Pablo Navarro from PiX Juegos, an open source development group.

We will be getting our OUYA in March, but we already got one of our games ported to it!
La pesadilla de Ripollés (in Spanish, "Ripollés' Nightmare")

We would like to know if it already works in a real OUYA. We also know it's a bit rude to ask that to devs, but in our honest deffense I can tell that we don't plan to get any benefit for it. We would love if we could, but we know we won't. Also, we are not any kind of bussiness, just a few friends who do this for fun (and for ego, I told you my deffense was going to be honest!).

You may see a video of the game here:

Anyway, if you have an OUYA, or don't but have an Android=>4.1 device, and would like to play our game:
http://www.pixjuegos.com/ripolles-ouya.apk

Thanks in advance! :)

I've been working with XNA for years now, so Java is pretty nice to come over too.

I'm posting short, daily video diary entries about my game progress for the CREATE contest. You should too! Show your progress, and I think this will be really fun to see the games come together.

I don't have a ton yet, but the pieces are all laying about and are ready to go together. I think I'm going to call my game 'Pig Eat Ball'.
It's a single-screen 4-player grab-a-thon with these weird little space-pig creatures trying to get the most balls while pushing each other around.

Here's some concept art:

I recently had my sister and parents visit and she wanted to show the houses she was looking at online so I got my wireless keyboard and ouya and used the tv to make it easier for everyone to see. One thing that was annoying was I still needed the controller next to me so I could use the back button. I tried escape and it did nothing.
So my suggestion is that the back button should be escape and here is a list of what I think keyboard buttons should map to.

escape = back button
windows/super button = system/home button or whatever it is called now
alt = menu button
enter = select button

If anyone else has suggestions or thoughts about it please do tell. I do not want this be ignored and using a keyboard with the ouya feel like a hack.

Is this separate from my console username that I reserved after the Kickstarter campaign?

Would appreciate if someone could clear this up, I have no idea whether or not my OUYA username actually works or not ^^'

Ben~

Hello, i've been prototyping a game idea on PC, using DirectX Technologies and i was wondering, are there any tutorials on going from DirectX (Direct3D\DirectInput\Xaudio\etc.,) to Android? (i figure that the DirectInput\Xinput thing is more or less covered by the ODK and not too hard to implement...)

thanks in advanced... also does anyone with a dev kit know, if theres any performance increases to using DXT Compression on the tegra over just sending a PNG down? thanks in advance...
