I ultimately never heard back from them this time either. At this point it seems that I'm anyway forced to wait until March.

I'm open to reasonable suggestions, I have to admit that first I was really excited about getting the dev unit because what it symbolizes to the project (even though I have no real use for it), but since then the appeal to me has long gone and I'd probably abide to even get the regular unit with extra controllers.

All in all I have to say that I'm truly disappointed how this has not worked out. And I was the only one in our group of console playing friends in our 30's that wanted to believe to this project and people behind it.

- A disgruntled Finn

I just happened to see a tumblr link on an OUYA Engineer's blog yesterday, and boy was I surprised by what I saw!

http://www.ouyagamingsource.com/breaking-news-the-ouya-revealed/

I wasn't sure if they were real or not, but Eddie K, who runs OUYA Forum, got in contact with Uhrman and she told him that they are quite real. They are prototypes, however, so the final version may differ.

It's funny, even until now I've seen a lot of people doubting OUYA, saying the metal model wouldn't come and OUYA would just release plastic ones. But I guess not!

What does everyone think? Do they live up to your expectations?

Hey all, Haven here. Me & my team have been working on a new OUYA project for a few months now, and I thought you guys might wanna check it out, and I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Right now the OUYA scene online is rough. It's hard for gamers to find games, and it's even harder for a developer to get their game noticed. So my team got together and started developing a platform to showcase the best, weirdest, and most innovative games OUYA has to offer.

I'm the lead editor of our website, OUYA Gaming Source. Every week, we take the best content from the site and form it into a new episode of our video series, OUYA Radar. We're starting to get into the swing of things, and put out our second episode today.

New! - OUYA Radar - Episode #3

We finish our Game Jam coverage with 10 more great entries

OUYA Radar - Episode #1

Our Top 10 Games from #myOUYAgame

OUYA Radar - Episode #2

Showcasing the best from the CREATE Game Jam

We'll have a new episode out next week, but shooting studio-quality videos costs money. Quite a bit of it, in fact!

So, if you want to support us and help us build an awesome series where OUYA games can get the exposure they need & deserve, you can...

Check out our Kickstarter:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ogs/ouya-gaming-source

We're off to a good start - even OUYA themselves have backed us - but we're going to need more to hit our goal! So, watch our video and if you like what we're doing, consider supporting us. :)

We love feedback, and we're just starting out, so we could use as much as you can give us! Any questions, concerns, suggestions, or criticisms would be great! Is there something about OUYA you want to see covered? Maybe something you think we're doing wrong? Let us know!

I hope you guys enjoy the videos.

Good afternoon all!

I've got a general question regarding the Ouya that I hope the community will be able to answer for me.

Essentially, here at Spearhead Interactive we develop online 3D visualisations for B2B sectors, distributed via web or mobile devices. Everything from component visualisation as a sales / R&D / Training tool, through to full architectural models for regeneration planning/BIM etc...

For some of our more security-conscious clients, I'd like to propose that we could provide a stand-alone, secure solution for them to view the end-product in-house, and this is where I hope Ouya could come in.

What I would like to be able to do is install the final APK file onto our own branded front end loader on a specific client by client basis. No connection to Ouya Marketplaces or any other Ouya Service, merely connect a Ouya box to our PC, load in a custom Spearhead Interactive front end and install the APK files as required. The Ouya console would then be handed over to the client to use as required in a 100% offline capacity.

Is this something which would be possible, or does this contravene the terms of use for the console? I'd be more than happy to have an Ouya screen present whilst loading the custom front-end if this is necessary.

Thanks all. Looking forward to your responses - appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Regards,

Dan Riley,

Director, Spearhead Interactive.
